Chilean Ex-President Piñera's Real Legacy (Santiago Rising Montage)

Chile's former right-wing president Sebastián Piñera died in a helicopter crash on 6 February 2024.

Nick MacWillia m, the director of our 2021 documentary Santiago Rising has edited this montage of clips from the film featuring Piñera, which show his true political legacy.

Nick writes: "A Pinochet admirer, Piñera's legacy lies in the brutal state violence against protesters during the social uprising in 2019. My documentary Santiago Rising told the story of his government."
